Support Analyst

The position
As Support Analyst you will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the business systems and supporting workflows used in Viaplay Group's TV and streaming operations. You will be responsible for the efficient resolution of issues to minimize impact to users.
You will assist in the testing and implementation of in-house business applications, system interfaces and media workflows. You will be a good multitasker capable of juggling project related activities whilst serving as an escalation point for users and other technology groups.
The journey ahead
In the last year, we have brought Viaplay to Iceland, the Baltics, Poland, the US. This year we have allready launched in the Netherlands and will go live the UK this fall. By the end of 2023, we will be live in 16 countries.
Some of your daily tasks will include - but not be limited to:
- Manage support queues in Jira and vendor systems,
- Work with system owners to gather requirements for enhancements and changes to applications,
- Provide technical and operational subject matter expertise for applications, including acting as system administrator where appropriate.
- Maintain and improve system and support documentation.
- Perform activities related to implementation and rollout for upgrades.
- Collaborate closely with team members, other internal teams, and software vendors to resolve issues and identify improvements.
What we are looking for
To be our next colleague, we believe you are currently working in a similar position. We also think you have a technical background, or a technical qualification or even just a proven aptitude/interest in learning those things.
Ideal candidates also meet the following requirements:
- Excellent customer services and communication skills.
- A passion for solving complex problems and supporting end-users.
- XML/JSON
- Python scripting
- SQL (ORA or MSSQL)
- Microsoft.Net and Powershell
Bonus requirements that will make you stand out from the rest:
- Experience of working within media, broadcast and/or streaming
