Right now, we’re searching for a Project Manager within Acquisitions & Partnerships Operations team in our London office – are you ready to hit play on an exciting career change?
The role
As a Project Manager, you will manage and lead multiple team and cross-functional projects simultaneously and ensure that all deadlines are met. You will be monitoring project activities and provide status updates on delivery progress, flagging and managing the mitigation and resolution of risks and issues as required. You will be responsible for managing systems used within the group (Jira, e-signatures etc.) and for assigning tasks to the right stakeholders, checking on their progress, and ensuring that each project is completed on time and to the highest standard.
In addition you will be:
- Creating, managing and owning all project documentation.
- Sourcing information and preparing, reviewing and analyzing reports.
- Analyzing and recommending enhancements to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of systems used by the team and Viaplay Group.
- Interpreting internal/external issues and recommend solutions.
- Supporting the processing of deals covering Acquired, Scripted and Non-Scripted Originals content.
- Reviewing & interpreting deal information from deal memos and inputting into the rights management database. Validating details, clearing for sales conflicts and escalating problems where necessary.
- Communicating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve various contract administration issues related to legal documents, data input etc.
- Providing training and mentoring support to staff/junior team members.
What we’re looking for
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:
- Working with rights management/distribution systems and understanding of the media landscape.
- At least 3+ years experience, with knowledge of the international TV/VOD industry and the relevant linear/On-Demand rights.
- Team collaboration platforms like Jira and and familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Have strong technical aptitude to learn new systems.
- Highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Sense of responsibility with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and willingness to pivot workflows as needed.

- Proactive thinker and capable of identifying potential problems and ability to develop and take appropriate corrective actions.
- A can-do attitude, sense of humor and the ability to work humbly with others.
