The role 

We are now looking for an experienced Cloud Developer to maintain and enhance our existing Cloud Platform. Your work will ensure the continued availability of that platform which is used by 30+ development teams at Viaplay.

As a member of the team, a combined Cloud infrastructure and CI/CD team, you will mainly work with our Cloud Automation tooling to create/maintain/update CloudFormation templates for hosting applications in AWS. Our IaC tooling today is mainly Troposphere/Python but we are moving to AWS CDK and at the same time removing customizations in our Infrastructure-as-code. Our microservice platform host hundreds of different services and serves over 4 million subscribers in the Nordic markets. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the platform's reliability while we explore new ways to scale.

The journey ahead

With your experience, you will help our internal teams host, scale, and provide value to our end viewers. Some of your daily challenges will include:

• Interacting with teams, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on their needs
• Driving improvements to customer experience and platform performance
• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities
• Reduce the complexity and cost of Cloud infrastructure.
• Be an evangelist of sustainability principles and best practices

What we’re looking for 

We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:

• Excellent problem solver
• Team collaboration
• 3+ years of professional AWS experience and Demonstratable knowledge of common AWS Services like VPC, Lambda, EC2, Route53, CloudFormation
• 2+ years of professional Python experience
• Demonstratable knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
• Proven experience scaling cloud platform
