Streaming should be fun and we keep that in mind at every stage of our product development – from designing the user interface across all devices, to tinkering in the backend or monitoring our live broadcasts. Working in teams that are totally autonomous gives us the freedom to roll out features and iterate in continuous cycles.
Every decision we make is backed by a whole lot of data too. We’re constantly crunching numbers to inform the rest of the business. These insights are then fed back into Viaplay's machine learning algorithms and AI to give us a more personalised product.
We’re not held back by fear of the unknown either. In fact, it’s in our nature to experiment and learn by doing. Our Hack Days step things up a notch twice a year by encouraging us to explore ideas we’ve always wanted to but not necessarily had the time for. That’s where magic can really happen.
Of course, our dedicated IT teams support us with the right systems and tooling so it’s never a barrier for productivity. All in all, it adds up to some pretty impressive in-house collaboration.
