Note that this is a temporary position on 100% for 9-12 months with the possibility of extension. The role has varying working hours – days, evenings and weekends incl. holidays occur according to a rolling schedule. You will belong to a team of 10+ people who rotate between tasks and workstations.

The role

At our sports department, we work with some of the best sports productions in the world. We deliver tens of thousands of live sport hours every year, which means a constant live stream of matches/competitions, tournaments, and championships - all to continue to offer thrilling sports experiences to millions of viewers across Europe.

We are looking for you who wants to join our team as a Transmission Engineer (Sändningstekniker). The role involves being responsible for broadcasting and monitoring our linear TV channels (V Sport Premium, V Sport Motor, V Sport Vinter etc.) and the streaming service Viaplay. You will work with live sport events, but also recording and replay editing, write reports considering live events, and do continues quality controls of our products.

What we’re looking for

We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following: 

• Like to work with both people and technology.
• Have a positive attitude towards problem solving.
• Can quality control audio and video linked to sports and live broadcasts.
• Are detail-oriented, proactive, and like to organize and structure your work.
• Are good at communicating in both Swedish and English.

Working with live television means that you must be prepared for a changing work pace and to be able to make quick decisions without compromising on accuracy. The job is largely independent, and it is therefore important that you are driven and able to see details, at a high or low pace. We want you to be able to take your own initiative and take a lot of personal responsibility.

Being interested in sports is not a requirement but would probably be fun for yourself and help your understanding of certain work tasks.

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Have broadcasting experience and therefore an interest and a feeling for what is a good television experience for the viewer.
• A can-do attitude, sense of humor and the ability to work humbly with others.
