The Role 

We're currently transforming our AWS infrastructure by moving from our custom container platform to ECS/Fargate. In this role, you'll help evolve our sophisticated infrastructure-as-code foundation that provisions AWS services with different networking patterns, DNS configurations, and security boundaries. Also, you will participating in architecture discussions to determine optimal service patterns.

Among other things, you’ll be doing:

• Leading the migration from our custom orchestration to AWS ECS/Fargate
• Designing and implementing networking solutions
• Collaborating with development teams to implement service discovery patterns
• Configuring load balancers for different traffic flows and security boundaries
• Sharing knowledge with team members through pairing sessions and documentation
• Adapting to changing requirements as we evolve our platform architecture
• Helping solve complex production issues alongside your teammates

What we’re looking for 

We believe you are currently working as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Senior DevOps Engineer, Senior Platform Engineer or Senior Site Reliability Engineer with relevant experience. Our team values individuals who embrace learning over knowing everything, thrive in collaborative environments, and adapt quickly to changing requirements. This role requires strong technical curiosity and a collaborative mindset as we navigate the complexities of cloud modernization.

Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:

• Solid problem-solving skills and experience in architecting solutions in AWS
• Programming experience in Node.js
• Strong interest in continuous integration and continuous deployment, automation and other efficient workflow-oriented practices.
• Experience with AWS networking, load balancing, and container orchestration
• Understanding of DNS management and service discovery patterns
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Knowledge of Python programming
