The role
We’re looking for a driven and relationship-focused sales professional to join our team at Viaplay Group. In this role, you’ll be responsible for growing advertising sales across our free-to-air TV channels, sports channels, and digital platforms. You’ll build strong partnerships with agencies and advertisers, identify new opportunities, and negotiate impactful deals that deliver value for both our clients and Viaplay Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of commercial advertising space across Viaplay Group’s TV and digital platforms.
- Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with media agencies and advertisers to meet revenue targets.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities and create added value for existing clients.
- Prospect and onboard new customers while fostering sustainable partnerships.
- Negotiate annual contracts and ad hoc deals in line with agreed pricing and volume targets, in close collaboration with the Sales & Trading Director.
- Use key market insights—such as price levels, audience groups, and trends—to strengthen negotiations.
- Confidently present and position Viaplay Group’s product portfolio to potential clients.
- Handle administrative tasks related to campaign bookings and ensure smooth delivery, compliance, and follow-up on client agreements.
- Regularly lead and participate in external sales presentations.
What we’re looking for
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:
- Background in Key Account Management, with media sales experience being highly valuable.
- University degree or higher education in a relevant field is considered a merit.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of TV and digital advertising, including OLV and programmatic.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and identify growth opportunities.
- Outstanding communication skills in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
- A self-starter with high energy, a team-oriented mindset, and a genuine passion for building long-term partnerships.
- A can-do attitude, sense of humor and the ability to work humbly with others.
