This is an entry-level position, ideal for a recent graduate or someone at the beginning of their career. You don’t need prior experience in programmatic advertising. We’re looking for curiosity, analytical thinking and a willingness to learn.
The role
The Digital Ad Product team is responsible for developing and evolving Viaplay Group’s digital advertising offering across all our markets.
We work at the intersection of commercial strategy, technology and product development, ensuring advertisers can access premium audiences through innovative, scalable and future-proof advertising solutions. From programmatic trading and ad technology to new commercial products and advertising formats, we help shape the future of advertising across Viaplay Group.
About the Role
As a Programmatic Ad Planner, you’ll become part of our Programmatic team and receive hands-on training from experienced specialists.
You’ll support the execution of programmatic campaigns across the Nordic markets while building expertise in digital advertising, Real-Time Bidding (RTB) and the programmatic ecosystem.
From your first day, you’ll work with premium streaming inventory and collaborate with colleagues across multiple functions. As you develop your knowledge and confidence, you’ll gradually take ownership of campaign execution, optimisation and troubleshooting, becoming a trusted partner for both internal teams and external clients.
This role offers an excellent foundation for a long-term career in ad tech, digital advertising or commercial product development. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Set up and manage programmatic deals throughout the campaign lifecycle.
Monitor campaign delivery, pacing and performance against agreed KPIs.
Troubleshoot delivery issues together with Ad Operations, Ad Tech teams, clients and technology partners.
Ensure campaigns are delivered according to quality and brand safety standards.
Maintain operational documentation and contribute to improving internal processes.
Stay up to date with developments in programmatic advertising and share ideas that strengthen our products and ways of working.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across Sales and Ad Operations.
What we’re looking for
We understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. You might be a recent graduate or have up to a couple of years of experience within digital media, technology or marketing. However, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:
Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Media, Technology, Data Science or a related field.
Have a genuine interest in digital advertising, technology and data.
Enjoy analysing data and solving problems.
Are curious, proactive and eager to learn.
Are organised and pay attention to detail.
Thrive in a collaborative environment while taking ownership of your own work.
Communicate fluently in English and Swedish.
Previous experience with digital advertising or programmatic is a plus, but it’s not a requirement.
