Product Designer
At Viaplay Group, we entertain millions of people every day through our streaming services, radio networks, and TV channels. We believe in the power of content not just as a way of telling stories and touching lives, but also expanding worlds.
We’re looking for the best people to join us on our journey. Right now, we’re searching for a Senior Product Designer in our Barcelona office – are you ready to hit play on an exciting career change?
The Role
As a Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping and elevating the Viaplay product experience across mobile, web, and TV within one of our core product areas. You will take ownership of complex user journeys - such as discovery, acquisition, or engagement - and help ensure they deliver seamless, intuitive, and delightful experiences for our customers.
You will work hands-on within a cross-functional team, contributing strong design execution while also influencing design direction, quality, and consistency across platforms.
In this role, you will actively contribute to design processes and ways of working, and collaborate closely with product managers, developers, researchers, and stakeholders. You will design impactful concepts and feature improvements, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints - while keeping things fun and collaborative.
You will also play an important role in safeguarding the quality and coherence of the user experience in a fast-moving, commercially driven environment. This means confidently navigating ad hoc requests and stakeholder input, translating business needs into thoughtful user journeys and flows, and ensuring design decisions align with our product vision, design strategy, and principles. You will help promote a structured design approach, so teams and stakeholders understand the value of design in creating meaningful, user-centred outcomes.
We value collaboration, and we see the Product Designer as a key contributor and design advocate within the team - someone who helps bring people together to solve meaningful user problems and build products our customers love.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a designer with a strong portfolio in digital product design and experience owning and driving design work end-to-end. You are comfortable working independently, enjoy solving complex problems, and are passionate about raising the bar for product quality and user experience.
As a designer, you have:

UI: Strong visual design skills and confidence working within brand guidelines and design systems, while knowing when and how to evolve them
UX: Ability to apply user-centered design principles and translate qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, effective design solutions. Experience promoting structured design practices and aligning teams around user-centred outcomes
Design process: Experience in owning and driving the complete product design lifecycle, from problem definition to delivery and iteration. Comfortable adapting methods to context
Tools: Advanced working knowledge of Figma and related prototyping tools. A/B test experience
Platform knowledge: Experience designing for mobile, tablet, and web, with an understanding of platform-specific patterns and constraints. Deep understanding of web UX, responsive design, and front-end development principles
Collaboration: Proven experience working in cross-functional teams and facilitating design discussions with designers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders
Influence: Ability to articulate design decisions clearly and advocate for the user while balancing business and technical needs
It’s a bonus if you have:
Eager to explore AI and committed to continuously evolving the craft alongside new tools and industry shifts
Hands-on experience running or supporting user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys)
Experience contributing to or evolving a design system
